Bucket cooking is a great way to volunteer for our organisation whilst still being able to participate in the actual Rogaine event.

One to two weeks before each bush event, we hire a large kitchen to prepare a variety of soups, stews or curries. Everything is provided on the day – food, recipes and equipment.

All help is very much appreciated – you can stay for the whole day until everything is cooked or just pop in for an hour or two to lend a hand.  We commence at 9 am and are usually finished by 3-4 pm.

One of the best parts of a Rogaine is enjoying a hot meal around the campfire. It’s a great feeling knowing that you’ve been a part of creating the meal that you and everyone else is enjoying. Bucket cooking in bulk helps us keep your event entry fees as low as possible, and also provides you with a hot nutritious meal to enjoy.

Once the food is cooked, it is placed in large buckets for freezing until the event.
