Movie buffs may recognise this line from a very famous sketch in the movie ‘Flying High!’ (aka Airplane!). You can now channel your inner Leslie Nielsen and have Clearance, Clarence to fly (or drive) down to Victor to set your own vectors.
The first day of autumn will have you cruising through the many interesting byways of Victor Harbor and surrounds for a Close Encounter of the 4 Hour kind (oops mixing my movies here). We’ve set a fabulous course that could see you visit Granite Island, The Bluff, Petrel Cove, the Inman and Hindmarsh Rivers and many more out of the way little gems that few people know exist. You might even see the famous Cockle Train.
The course is definitely suitable for beginners but also has a few physical and navigational challenges for the more experienced rogainers. And we estimate it will take a marathon effort to clean the course up. Surely that will be beyond anybody’s reach. I am serious. And don’t call me Shirley.
Please take note of the early start time. To avoid the (potentially) hottest part of the day we commence nice and early at 9 am and finish at 1 pm with maps available from 7.30 am.
Just want to tell you good luck. We’re all counting on you!
Roger, Roger. Over and out.
