Para Wirra Conservation Park is a fabulous place in spring, with wild flowers blooming everywhere. There are a few interesting spots to explore, including Devil’s Nose, The Knob, Lizard Rock and the Goldfields. Mack Creek and Wild Dog Creek are sure to have some water flowing and the lake attracts lots of birdlife. There are emus, kangaroos and koalas to spot, plus if you’re very lucky, echidnas can be seen. What could be better than a walk in the park on a beautiful spring day, finding a few orange and white controls scattered among the gum trees, finishing with some hot soup and fresh bread rolls? Sounds idyllic to me. See you there!
