Who doesn’t like rogaining in a forest? Wide, spongy, shaded paths, easy navigation (mostly), pockets of native scrub, kangaroos, maybe some emus. And at Second Valley, there will be the occasional views across the peninsula and out to sea. Only a 1 1/2 hour pleasant drive from downtown Adelaide. Choose from a daytime adventure, or a half day, half night adventure – the choice is yours. (The night nav will be good preparation for the upcoming Australian Championships; just saying…) There is nearby camping at Deep Creek, Second Valley Caravan Park, Rapid Bay and Wirrina Cove if you want to turn it into a weekend away, and if you want more upmarket accommodation, there’s houses galore along the coast.
A selection of hot soup and bread rolls will be available after each rogaine.
