The event area is one of rolling hills bounded by a challenging rocky range on the east. There are many redgum lined watercourses and stands of native pines. Spectacular views from the high points abound. This is an area of much geological interest which will be apparent to those who are observant. The terrain allows for easy walking / running over two thirds of the area with rougher stony areas to the east. The event is sure to please anyone who likes to have a pleasant walk in the vast open spaces, or a challenging competitive navigational experience.

O’Laddie Hills is less than a four hour drive from Gepps Cross – approx 350km. There is basic, bush camping facilities at the Hash House (cost is included in the fees), with nearby accommodation readily available in Carrieton, Ororroo or Jamestown.
