The rescheduled 24-hour State Rogaining Championships for 2021 will be in the picturesque Southern Flinders Ranges north of Carrieton. The event is entirely on private land encompassing seven sheep grazing properties, with the Hash House and camping area on the banks of the beautiful, gum-lined Boolcunda Creek on Almerta Station. https://www.almertastation.com.au/

After all the winter rains, this region will be absolutely stunning in September. We all need a break from our mask wearing and winter slothfulness (or am I just speaking for myself…) so plan to enjoy a weekend away in the beautiful Southern Flinders. There are stunning gum-lined creeks, permanent springs, bluebush plains, rocky outcrops, lots of 360 degree panoramas, old ruins and abundant bird life. The terrain is mostly open, gently undulating country with a network of creeks and a range of hills, all useful navigational aids.

Choose from the championship 24-hour event or the 12-hour roving event, where you compete for a maximum of 12 hours within the 24-hour period.

This is your last chance for a bush rogaine this year, so don’t miss it!
