Our first rogaine for the season, is our ever popular 4-hour twilight event and this year will see us head over the hills to Strathalbyn. The area was initially inhabited by the Ngarrindjeri and Peramangk nations before being settled by the Scottish in 1839. It is nestled at the base of sun-dried hills, with the Angus River meandering through on its way out to sea. There are lovely, heritage-listed properties, along with brand-new subdivisions.
This will be a flat, fast rogaine for those who like running or those who don’t like big hills. For those who prefer to explore more slowly, this will be a perfect place to stroll and enjoy the many parks. The Strath Sundowner will be a very family-friendly event – suitable for all ages from babes in pushers to your elderly parents. Teams comprise 2-5 people, with children under 9 free.
Our short AGM will be held after the event has finished. Please stick around to find out more about SA Rogaining.
Our events cannot run without volunteers! There are plenty of ways you can help while still entering the event. Or think about helping in the Admin tent.
