What better way to start the rogaining year than wandering past the magnificent manors, and through the leafy laneways and picturesque parks of the Adelaide Hills? Crafers, Piccadilly, Stirling, Mt George, Aldgate and Bridgewater are definitely worth an afternoon’s exploration. Though be warned – there will be a few hills to traverse. It wouldn’t be called the Adelaide Hills if there weren’t hills! If walking up hills is tiring work, then there are cafes in each town, not to mention pubs, to grab a quick refreshing drink on your way through.
This is a great event for novices, as compass work is not necessary as long as you know your left from your right. Reading this map will be just like following the gps in your car, except you’re the one who moves the map as you go around corners. Trail runners are welcome – see if you can clean up the map. And we welcome Scout families – there’s a special category just for you.
If you’re unsure about reading maps, there will be friendly people who can assist you with interpreting a map and help you with your route planning before the start of the event. Just make yourself known at Admin when you register.
We look forward to seeing you all at The Stirling Pump. Get pumped NOW!
