No quaint 300 year old houses in sight, but plenty of beautiful lakes of all sizes and ages, and rolling hills.

Mount Barker is one of the fastest growing areas in Australia with new housing estates replacing farming land in all directions. It’s a bit surreal, with brand, spanking new estates surrounded by grassland and cows. Old dams and waterholes are being converted into new, landscaped ponds and lakes. This rogaine will not only introduce you to the lakes and housing developments, but also to some wonderful views, farms and the local, relatively unknown, conservation park.

Families – young and old – are very welcome, as are those who are new to rogaining. There are plenty of easy controls to find along with some more difficult ones for the more serious rogainers.

Plan to venture into the beautiful Adelaide Hills and explore the new Lakes District of SA in March this year.
